“Urban Roots” -Sustainable Gardening Community Center
Project Description: The purpose of this center Is to educate the community about gardening/food-to-table. Important spaces that this project comprised of were: a farmer’s market/retail, classrooms, an interchangeable plant/flower gallery, restaurant with community seating, rooftop garden, and an outdoors community workspace.
This center is a place where the community can come in to learn how to garden and grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers; physically work in the rooftop garden to practice container gardening; and share a space where like-minded people can come together to share their thoughts and ideas.
