ABOUT:
Client: young woman with an at-home event planning/pastry business & 6 year old son
Project Description:Most of her client meetings are held in the kitchen to participate in cake/food tastings. To meet her needs, a large central island was built in the kitchen with bar seating to hold food for the tastings, as well as large storage baking elements. Built into the counter top is a large, touch screen that is wired to a projector in the ceiling. The projector streams to a screen that electronically runs down from a soffit on the opposite side of the kitchen. This element is so that the event planner can play slide shows and pictures for her clients, as well as serving for her sons needs when he is in the kitchen with her.
